Busy Weekend

This weekend was busy with lots of little things. We got to babysit our friends little boy Philip. He is learning to rock out on the drums. He must be watching Kevin. I have to tell them both to keep their tongues in their mouth. We went to the State Fair, ate tons of fatty foods, bought a 1963 truck for hunting and trash runs, went to the an antique store downtown, and the farmers market. Next weekend we are gonna plan to do some long rides. Does anyone have any ideas or places to ride?????
Rockin out!

Haha found this at the antiques store

Yay I did it!!

So The Department of Motor Vehicles would no longer allow to renew my Motorcycle permit so I had to finally get my motorcycle endorsement. I decided to take the Rider's Edge class give by our local Harley Dealership due to discounted insurance rates, and free motorcycle rental included in the cost. I had a great time in the class even though it took up all of my weekend. I got to meet some cool people and new friends to ride with.
Half the class working on exercises

Stephanie and Jeremy

Everyone passed!

Seriously I hate DMV!
(this lady is really breastfeeding her child while she waits for her husband)

This is how we CELEBRATE! (I am wild and crazy! What else can I say lol)

Reflection

This day is a somewhat bitter sweet day for me. Three years ago today Kevin and I were involved in a motorcycle accident and it forever changed both of us. Sometimes no matter how alert you are you will never see it coming. Be safe out there and remember it's not if it's when......I am so thankful that I still have you by my side I thought I lost you forever when that van dragged me down the road.

Lillian Lafreance

Damn if I could only accomplish half of what she did with her life. In the 20's and 30's she rode motorcycles while preforming for fans on/in the "Wall of Death" She would preform on her Indian motorcycle or Motordrome. She was one of nine children and had this to say:

“I was never meant to have children, or to be a plain housewife.  I saw how my mother lived, so you know married life never appealed to me– to endure what she went through…”
–Lillian LaFrance

Lillian knew she wanted to do something different with her life. She didn't want to be average she wanted to extraordinary and she was. Check out these pictures and enjoy your day!

You are a true inspiration.

My Weekend

This weekend was filled with lots of fun! I got to see the progress on Brett's 1958 Panhead, Gator dressing up the gutbuster with a new tank and plenty of riding. We also got a lesson on body work from the master sensei Mr. Ken. Man that guy's super smart. Here are just a few pics from the weekend.
Mmmmm Waffle House!
Gator's Gutbuster with a new tank

Ken making sure the tank is nice and smooth. Filling in some areas and then smoothing them out. The Lucky Leprechaun actually doing some work cleaning out the oil tank. (Love you babe) It shouldn't be long and we will have to get together and have a Kickstart party.
Bad picture

Love the color!

The day ended with homade fried chicken.
What a weekend! Why does Monday-Thursday go so slow and the rest of the weekend flies by? Enjoy the time you never know how many weekends you have left in this world.

Sunday Funday!

So my bike was running really shitty at the DS BBQ. I dropped the bowl on the carburetor, adjusted the points (with the help of the chopper whisper-Mr. Ken), made a new tab to hold my circuit breaker, and then changed out my primary plugs to some nice shiny ones. Ran amazing! It was great riding yesterday. Stay safe and enjoy the week.

Ironheads Rattle everything loose.....

Still broken.....

Had to drill out a new hole on the drill press

Chopper Whisperer Ken checking behind me...018 gap perfect!

New plugs!

Fixed and up and running again!
Ride like there is no tomorrow......

Ain't No Party Like A DS Party!

Gator (from the OG's) knows how to lay down the "lab art" but he ain't like that  no mo. The DeathScience BBQ was def something not to be missed this time. Bikes, Guns, Parts, Grub, Bonfire,Throwing Stars and Fireworks. The weather was much better than the last time.

Got to meet some new friends and some old ones. If you missed this party you should plan to be at the next one. I am sure they will only get better.
